The Formation and Vision of Sree Narayana Mission Melbourne
By establishing such an organisation we are able to create a sense of sharing and belonging among the members, re-introduce the value of eastern spirituality to our younger generation and effectively reach out and propagate the teaching of Sree Narayana Guru to a wider Australian Indian population.
SNMM organizes cultural festivals, workshops, and spiritual gatherings that not only celebrate Indian traditions but also provide an opportunity for the Australian Indian population to engage in meaningful conversations and collaborative efforts. Through our youth-focused programs, we inspire the next generation to uphold the values of equality, education, and selfless service championed by Sree Narayana Guru.
As we continue to grow, SNMM remains steadfast in its vision of becoming a beacon of unity and cultural richness in Australia. Establish and maintain a Guru Ashramam with a retirement village, educational institutions, libraries, and public halls. Provide educational assistance, organize charity programs, support new migrants, offer entrepreneurship guidance, and create facilities for cultural and spiritual development.

Early education
Guru’s first teacher was his own father, Madanasan. He had formal schooling in the village school of Chempazhanthy Pillai.
